Soap Nuts
Soap nuts come from the Sapindus tree. A completely natural way to clean your clothes. When the soap nuts get wet, they release saponin, a natural cleaner. Simply put a few nuts in a drawstring bag (included in every order), and add to your wash. No fabric softener or other additives needed! Sounds amazing, doesn't it? We've been using these for a few months now and I'm a complete convert! Soap nuts are reusable. We wash in warm water, rinse in cold and one bag of 3 soap nuts last 5-6 loads! Soap nuts will last longer in cold water, less time in hot water. You'll know it's time to stop using the soap nuts when they no longer have a waxy look to them. There are no toxic chemicals released into the water ways and no waste because the used husks can be added to your compost.
