I wasn’t happy with all the new chemical products that I was finding in stores and was having a really hard time finding natural products without all the harsh chemicals to use on my kids. So, I started reading and reading and reading some more. 

 Eventually, I slowly started making my own cleaning products. Soon the people I was giving stuff to for testing, were asking when I was going to 'open up shop' and start selling everything I was making. After much thinking, convincing and lots and lots of nerves, I decided to listen to them. 

How we got our name...

The Mud Monkey Essentials name comes from stories my husband tells our children at bedtime. The main characters, "Mud Monkeys", are very dirty villains who are always slinging mud all over everyone. While discussing the name we were going to use, our son told us we HAD to name it something with Mud Monkey in it. We came up with a page of possible names and our very knowledgeable 6 year old picked the name I would use immediately. And so...Mud Monkey Essentials was born.

What began as a simpler way of life with fewer man-made chemicals has become a way of life for my family, one that we would like to share with you. Thank you for trying my products and taking this journey with us. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
